Cole has just turned five years old.
Amelia is two.
Tonight, at dinner, Amelia said, "I can't talk. My throat is in my tummy."
I grinned and said, "So you can't talk?"
She answered, "No. I can't talk."
I cleared the dishes and from the kitchen I overheard Cole saying to his sister, "Your throat can't be in your tummy."
"My throat IS in my tummy," she replied.
"No. That's not your tummy, Amelia. That's your esophagus."
