Cole arrived home from daycare. The front pocket of his backpack was stuffed with crafts.
I selected an interesting-looking piece of artwork. It was a piece of red construction paper with a yellow flower pasted to it and a line of yellow petals zig zagging across the page. I knew they had just finished a unit on insects and bugs.
"THIS looks like a Caterpillar!" I exclaimed.
Mark looked at me dubiously, "I think it might be a donkey," he corrected. It looked nothing like a donkey, so he had obviously been informed of this fact in the car on the ride home.
Then Cole piped up, "No, It's a PICTURE!"
